LifeCORE R88 Rowing Machines
Rowing is simply one of the best total body workouts available. That's why LifeCORE offers a complete line of advanced rowers including the R88. This sleek, smooth machine offers ergonomic design and club-quality construction, so you're guaranteed to have a great workout—every time.
Ergonomic Design
For starters, the R88 is one of the lowest impact exercise machines on the market. You'll enjoy smooth, fluid motion without the stress on your knees and ankles. The ergonomic rowing handle provides a comfortable, efficient grip and the large foot beds secure your feet while simultaneously allowing your heels to move freely for more natural motion.
Club-Quality Construction
The R88 Rowing Machine is based on an extruded aluminum frame with solid steel support. So it has an ample 300 lb capacity. The fan and flywheel are also constructed of solid steel for the ultimate in durability.
Convenient Folding Design
Most of us don't have the room for a large piece of fitness equipment in our homes. The R88 Rower solves that problem with a simple folding design. A quick turn and pull of the lock pin allows the R88 to be folded up and out of the way.

New Member of the Fleet
Value: I already have the LC980 Elliptical since 2007. Now the Rower is the newest member of my fleet of indoor exercise toys. Just like the elliptical, the rower is very well constructed and easy to assemble. It's operation is very smooth. Another notable thing is the well written instructions for assembling the rower, unlike many instructions I've had to read to assemble other things. Hats off to your technical writers! They write with the end user in mind! I also love the way it folds up easily and out of the way when I'm not using it.
This machine would have five stars if it weren't for the seat, though. A little bit better design with more padding would help. I would row a lot longer if the seat were more comfortable. I currently put extra padding on the seat to use it.
All in all, though, as with the elliptical that I've gotten thousands of miles of use from it, I expect to get the same kind of service out of the rower. By comparison with other machines, I get all of this at a very reasonable price. Thanks LifeCore! -
I expect many years of use on this machine.
Value: The R88 Rower is very well constructed and fairly simple to assemble. Five stars goes to the writers who wrote the assembly instructions. They were very clear, concise and spoke to the new owner. I've only had the rower for about two weeks and have put some serious time on it. The reason I chose the rower is because growing up, I used to row my grandfather's sabot to earn money. I enjoyed that activity and wanted to vary my exercise routine with an activity I can relate to. I already have the 980 Elliptical from LifeCore and have thousands of miles on it. Now I have two great machines to play with. The rower is quiet and smooth. I only gave it four stars because: 1. I haven't had the machine for very long; 2. The seat design could be improved on. It kind of hurts my butt after a while. A Spenco covering would be nice. I'm going to go find one for my seat.

Good workout, Smooth Machine
Value: This rower provides a very satisfactory workout. I went from 5star to 4star due the options on the LCD screen. The 99 is better in that regard but there is no difference in the feel of the rower. For the money...best rower on the market.

Excellent Product
Value: I bought this machine after a good amount of research on the web and conversations with colleagues. I am very happy with this product. It gives me a great workout, fits in a small area and folds up when I need it to. The computer tracks my time/strokes and spped. It is a much better quality product and much better workout than my old rowing machine.

great flexibility, well made and designed
Value: "My husband's surgeon recommended he purchase a rower after his knee replacement surgery. He mentioned that other patients were pleased with LifeCORE products. We did some reseach and decided on this one. My husband isn't ready to use the race option but is challenged by that goal/option. This rower is solid and is easy to use and store. It is comfortable for him at 6' 2" and for me at 5'2" which is a real plus. We feel this rower provides great flexiblility at a reasonable price and we would recommend it without reservation."

easy to use quick to assemble
Value: My favorite feature is the motivation I get from 500m time. I try to beat my time every 5 workouts as a way to show improvement. This machine has helped to shape my lats and increase my lung capacity. Very nice Rower

I am impressed with the workout this Rower provided
Value: I love using this Rower due to the great workout that it provides.
I don't have a lot of space in my house so I bought this rower because it is small and easy to store. I figured the smaller size would make the workout lighter, but that was not the case at all.
I get a great workout every time and unlike other Rowers my knees and ankles feel great after I use it!
