The cd400 is a superior machine to what I used to have. I am really impressed with the construction and how easy it is to assemble. Probably took about 45 min to complete. My wife loves the stride. Perfect, perfect! (Posted on 2/17/11)

things i have noticed:
it took me a week to get my workout up to the level of the elliptical i was using at the gym, this one has generally lower resistance..
it is easy to get going too fast on this thing, if i go over 135 strides/minute i feel like i am going to fly off the thing
any power level below 5 is like running down hill, (so when the programs set me to lower values, i ramp them up)
the lap counter only goes to 7 and then i am a back to lap 0 ? (that is an easy number to pass, looking at the display it seems to me you could up that to 19)
wow, this thing is quiet !!! ( i was making the one at the gym go clunky-clunk and i was always worried that they were going to tell me to quit using it )
programming the user values is not the easiest thing to do
after choosing my user program, it takes me a couple of seconds to enter the 'workout program' ... hey, i want to go my full minutes at 120-130 strides a minute, i feel like i am on a very comfortable bouncy jog and i love it...

I found this elliptical listed in Consumer Reports with a very good review; shopped around online for the best price and finally purchased online. Stores in my area did not carry this model.

This machine is a heavy machine. It was unboxed outside and carried into my house for assembly.

The machine is less than a month old and has performed very well. The assembly was easy but became tricky when making the wire connections on the control panel; the printed instructions omitted this part but the online instructions were a little more thorough but still did not identify what connector goes where on the back of the control panel.

I have found only one problem, the Reset/Pause button does not allow a user to resume a workout once this button is pressed. A user must press the Start button to use the machine which, unfortunately, resets the machine from the beginning. A minor problem that I hope Tech Support can remedy. (Posted on 2/15/10)

I got this elliptical right before christmas and it really helped me keep from ballooning when all the temptations of the holiday came around. I got to take a taste of what I liked but each morning this elliptical helped me keep the pounds off. And its really helping keep me on track for my weight loss goals for 2010. Love the natural motion, love the size and love the programs. (Posted on 1/27/10)
